Job Description
The Senior Flash Designer is a key role in the Central Marketing Creative team. This role is creative individual who can “think outside the box”, while producing strategic and innovative functionality and optimization. This position serves as an expert in Flash, design theory and implementation to produce an array of flash animation and ad innovations.
The Senior Flash Designer will be responsible for the brainstorming and creation of a broad variety of design assignments from concept through final production. This position will work with a team of creatives, developers, project managers, account managers and sales staff daily to develop project plans, marketing strategies and technology assessments. This position will be responsible for generating high quality and innovative executions within budget and deadlines specific to each project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Design and create custom, interactive, innovative experiences, microsites and ad units
• Provide ongoing graphic support and design services
• Provide training and assistance to design staff and interns
• A digital evangelist/enthusiast who passionately keeps up with what’s new and what is coming down the pike
• Builds strong working relationships with coworkers, direct reports, customers (internal and external), and company management
Qualifications
• 5-10 years of Interactive and Flash design experience within the online industry
• Advanced skills with Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash
• Advanced Flash skills / ActionScript experience
• Expertise in XML and building web based standards, table-less CSS designs
• Must know JavaScript / DOM, especially in coordinating Flash with HTML based elements
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Professional work experience and presentation
• Proven problem solver
• Familiarity with IAB Standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Fine Arts or equivalent work experience
• Applicants must provide a portfolio or sample URLs
Preferred Skill Set
• Experience with Video/Audio production in editing and creation/usage, including After-effects
• HTML, DHTML, CSS, JSP, AJAX JavaScript, PHP, ASP, MySQL knowledge or experience
• Fluent in Rich Media production duties including Actionscript 2/3, XML
