Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a professional designer with a minimum of 4 years graphic design and web design & development experience, a degree in Design from an accredited 4-year college. Collaborate with development teams, including senior, highly skilled team members, to develop and maintain presentation-layer technical solutions and architectures in Flex and Flash.
Create professional and thorough architecture and design documents that capture the technical needs and proposed solutions for a given project.
Compose technical documentation supporting client and internal developers for the implementation and maintenance of presentation-layer frameworks.
Prototype technical solutions for advanced problems that may involve either proprietary or third-party software components.
Contribute to the software development process and tools selection of the UI Development group to continually refine best practices and ensure code quality.
Learn and consume emerging technologies, and be able to quickly develop skills in new development technologies.
Maintain and optimize large ActionScript-based sites while complying with industry standard best practices
Minimum Qualifications
Expert knowledge of Adobe Flash ActionScript 3.0, and Adobe Flex versions 2.0 to 4.0.
Expert knowledge of Adobe Flash Builder/Eclipse API
A minimum 5 years of software development experience, a majority of which has involved direct ActionScript and front-end development projects.
Expert knowledge developing robust, Object-oriented web applications utilizing Actionscript, MXML and XML.
Extensive experience converting visual designs to Flash interfaces, with an acute eye for detail and design fidelity, and efficient code/template re-use.
Firm understanding of project plans, estimates, milestones, and the overall software development lifecycle.
Very clear verbal ability in describing technical issues in both non-technical and technical language, depending on the audience at hand.
Strong trouble-shooting ability in resolving tough technical problems.
Hands on experience with back-end data services integration
Comprehensive knowledge of Quality Assurance and how it fits into the development process.
Solid understanding of programming fundamentals, including common design patterns and how they can be applied to ActionScript programming.
Some experience developing sites with XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Experience with version control systems such as CVS, SVN
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Adobe AIR
Experience with Adobe Flash Catalyst
Experience with Actionscript frameworks and micro architectures such as PureMVC, RobotLegs, and Swiz
Experience with content management systems such as TeamSite or Drupal
JSP development experience in J2EE environments
Knowledge of Web Analytics systems such as Omniture and Google Analytics
